ROEN  Surgical was founded in February 2018, rooted in 25 extensive years of medical robot research by KAIST TCL Lab. Here at ROEN Surgical, we are commercializing versatile flexible endoscopic surgical robots.

The growing demand for laparoscopic surgical robots is prominent proof of the effectiveness of surgical robots: minimizing operated incisions, and reducing postoperative complications of patients through precise, comfortable, and stable operations of medical doctors. Minimally invasive/non -invasive robotic surgery is now more focused in the field of Endoluminal Surgery, as robotic arms have been connected to flexible endoscopes, allowing doctors to operate through a tube in their patients’ bodies. 

ROEN Surgical is currently developing a robotic ureteroscopy system for kidney stone removal. We also have a flexible endoscopic surgery robot for stomach and colon surgery in development. A micro-surgery robot under R&D for eye surgery and micro-vessel suturing in plastic surgery.

㈜로엔서지컬은 KAIST TCL연구실의 25년의 메디컬 로봇 연구결과를 바탕으로 2018년 2월에 설립되어 (이지엔도 서지컬, 2022년 7월 로엔서지컬로 사명변경), 다양한 의료분야에서 유용하게 쓰일 수 있는 유연내시경 수술로봇을 상용화 하고 있습니다.

복강경 수술로봇의 수요의 증가를 보면, 환부의 크기를 최소화하고 정밀한 수술동작으로 환자의 수술 후유증을 줄이고, 의사가 편안하고, 안정된 수술을 하는 수술로봇의 효용성이 의료분야에서 인정받고 있습니다.  로봇기술을 사용하여 유연내시경을 이용한 수술이 가능하여 지면 사람 몸속의 관을 통하여 수술할 수 있는 Endoluminal Surgery 분야에 최소침습/무침습 로봇수술이 활성화될 것입니다.   

로엔서지컬은 비뇨의학분야의 신장결석제거로봇, 위와 대장등의 소확기 수술에 사용될수 있는 유연내시경 수술로봇, 안과 성형외과에서 쓰일 수 있는 현미경을 사용하는 미세수술로봇을 연구 개발 상용화하고 있습니다.
